The Federal Government have announced $2.7 million for youth mental health services in Wangaratta.

The government will provide $1.2 million over a four year period, according to Nationals Senator for Victoria, Bridget McKenzie, in support of the Grit and Resilience Project developed by the Rural City of Wangaratta council along with local organisations and the Melbourne University.

A further $1.5 million is being provided over four years for Headspace Albury Wodonga to provide a service in Wangaratta, and are expected to be up and running in early 2019, according to The Wangaratta Chronicle.
