The swing against the Liberals has continued in Benambra, but not enough to unseat Bill Tilley.
After preferences, Mr Tilley collected 52.45% of the vote ahead of Independent, Jacqui Hawkins on 47.55%.
It will be Mr Tilley’s fourth term in the seat.
At this stage it looks likely Tim McCurdy will also retain his seat of Ovens Valley with 51.9% as preferences are counted.
He is followed by Labor candidate Kate Doyle with 24.08% and Tammy Atkins equal on 23.9%.
