This Seems Shady.. In A Good Way
A good portion of QEII Square will be shaded and cooled with a new temporary experimental architecture project let by MAMA.
The project called "Summer Place" will introduce a vast system of shade and cooling in QEII Square, designed by architectural practice CHROFI. Joshua Zoeller says the project is designed to highlight the current climate emergency, and the vulnerability of this region to heatwaves and drought. "This structure uses clever design and materials to transform the lawns of QEII Square into a cool, shaded place that can be enjoyed by the whole community".
Summer Place will be free to visit and starts November 29th and will run until March 29 2020 at QEII Square
