Upgrades Well Under Way
Albury Mayor Kevin Mack says work is well under way to clean up Oddies Creek with the removal of noxious weeds.
'We're pulling out all the woody weeds that are damaging the banks and we're going to be replacing them with native vegetation between the bridge and Oddies creek which is a significant stretch and it's certainly part of that Oddies Creek experience, and we're pretty happy with the way it's going. It's not about damaging the environment, it's about replenishing the environment putting native plants back there and replacing the noxious weeds with something more palatable' Mayor Mack says.
The work is all part of the Murray river precinct with more works planned, including boardwalks, pavements, extra carpark spaces, and an upgrade of the community oven.
'It's the gift that keeps on giving' Says Kevin Mack
