Albury Wodonga Health will roll out its COVID-19 Vaccination program after the March long weekend.
Frontline workers on both sides of the border will start to be offered the Pfizer jab in the week following Labour Day.
It's estimated about 1800 people will be vaccinated in the first round, from a yet-to-be disclosed location in Wodonga.
The rollout to the wider community is expected to start in early to mid April, to be distributed primarily by local GPs and pharmacies.
The Astra Zeneca vaccine is likely to go to that group.
The Wodonga, Wangaratta, Indigo, Alpine and Towong shires will all be covered by the program. Albury and Southern Riverina will also be included, in collaboration with Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
