One Step Too Far

"Maybe it's the rebel in me, I don't know, but I kind of of feel like we're tracked enough already, and I'm just not there. Send me a collar and I'll start wearing it. No, I'm just not there, it just for me is one step too far"'.

When asked about the government encouraging Australian residents to download the app as one of the main things that has to be achieved before we are allowed to be released to some form of normality, Cr Speedie didn't believe the governments message.

"That's where it loses me"

"If that's the thing that is the tipping point, shouldn't it be about the statistics, shouldn't it be about the other health things. I understand what they're trying to say, I'm just not sure I believe it.

"I think people are being really sensible, I think our numbers clearly show that, I think that we have shown that as a society, we have all toed the line".

Downloads of the Australian Government's COVID-Safe app have surpassed three million.
