2 arrested - no injuries


Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man following an alleged firearms incident in Wodonga on wednesday night.

It is alleged the man discharged a firearm following a verbal argument at car park off South Street about 7pm.

Police arrested a man and a woman on High Street a short time later, where a firearm was seized.

A 27-year-old Wagga Wagga man was charged with eight charges including reckless conduct endangering life, affray, firearms offences and breaching a court order.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Wodonga Magistrates’ Court on 26 October.

The woman was released without charge.


Two people have been arrested following a shooting at 7pm last night in Central Wodonga's car park.

Police were called to Kmart last night to reports of shots being fired outside and a section of the car park was cordoned off.

A man has been arrested near a hotel off High Street, as well as a woman aged in her 30s, and assisting police with their inquiries.

There were no injuries reported and police are still investigating.
