The 3rd man involved in the Norske Skog accident retuning home
The third man involved in the Norske Skog tragedy on May 24, Tom Johnson, 22, is now returning home after being taken off life support and showing all the signs of complete recovery.
Mr. Johnson, along with two other men, 28 year old Ben Pascall and 36 year old Lyndon Quinlivan, were overcome by toxic gas at Norske Skog Paper Mill Wednesday May 23rd.
Quinlivan and Pascall lost their lives in hospital after being exposed to hydrogen sulphide.
The men were reportedly with a contractor checking valves in a tank, when they lost consciousness, and had to be pulled out.
Norske Skog sent a Senior Executive from Norway to Ettamogah to assist the continuing Worksafe investigation.
15 people had to be treated for the effects of the gas. 150 people were evacuated from the site.
The funeral of 28 year old Ben Pascall was held on Monday June 4.
