100 Days Countdown Triggered
The 2018 Australian Deaf Games are fast approaching, and now only 100 days remain until competition gets underway.
1000 athletes from across the nation will be competing during eight days of competition that commences on January 20.
Wodonga Mayor Anna Speedie will join with Albury Deputy Mayor Amanda Cohn to commence the countdown at the Albury Entertainment Centre at 11:30 this morning. (10-10)
The Australian Deaf Games is the pinnacle multi-sport event for Deaf people in Australia involving up to twenty (20) sports and attracting more than 1000 competitors and participants from all over Australia, some neighbouring Pacific nations and, potentially, one of two other overseas countries.
All athletes, most officials and the majority of visitors are Deaf or hard of hearing.
