Business Women Albury Wodonga are celebrating the return of face to face networking in style, with their next event on International Women’s Day 8 March.

Chair Desiree Georgiou says women in business have missed opportunities to network and collaborate in person due to the pandemic and border closures.

“We’ve been home for such a long time and to get back into the community on a business perspective is really fabulous for women, whether they are business owners, employees or start-ups,” Desiree said.

“There’s been a lot of sad stories and also a lot of success stories, so it’s great to get everyone to collaborate together and get business back on track.”

Guest speaker for the International Women’s Day lunch, jointly organised with the Business Enterprise Centre is Lucy Bloom.

“Lucy Bloom is a changemaker, a business fixer and has led an advertising agency for 20 years before she stepped into a CEO role of a women’s health organisation,” Desiree said.
